Our final day in Cape Town was spent on the hop on hop off city bus on the blue peninsular route. This allowed the rents to get a holistic view of Cape Town and its surroundings. Firstly, we stopped off at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (again). We knew my parents would love this being garden lovers. We then hopped back on and came off at the next stop which was Constantia, Cape Towns wine region. Here we got onto another bus to take us to the vineyards of Groot ...

Smooth bridge connections - not the bone jarring bump we have when we transit from the Hume to a bridge or overpass - no potholes - I did not see one pothole all day - and no rough patches. Why are we unable to build roads like the South Africans - ours fall apart in 5 years. Theirs last 50. ...

After a little lie in we headed to Boulder Beach home of the African Penguin. Our lovely taxi driver Samba drove us down and waited for three hours until we were ready to head home. The people here are so lovely and welcoming makes such a difference to home nothing seems to be to much trouble. The water on this side of Cape Town is much warmer, I even managed to persuade the boy to come for a dip with me in the lovely ...
