... see the museum, since when I was at Pella in 2008 I only saw the site briefly and the old museum only had a few rooms open because the new museum was still under construction. It opened in 2009, and it was definitely worth the wait! The building is very modern (which is actually a really strange contrast with the rest of the town), and the layout and design of the exhibits was clearly carefully thought out. ... from having to plan out the visits and coordinate transportation on my own. I definitely have a new appreciation for the context, location, and landscape of the site than I did before - it's quite beautifully set in the foothills between the flatter plain near the sea and the mountains in the interior, and even though it was overcast today, the "misty" quality of the landscape lent a certain aura to it.

Another day, another experience waiting to be explored. I woke up with a couple pains in my legs and arms from the rope swing yesterday, so I'm feeling a bit tight today. ... down the stairs, we had the opportunity to take many pictures in front of it as well.
The only downside was the fact that even after being in my dry semi warm clothes, they were now damp again, and not as warm from the spray of the waterfall. But it was so worth it. We stayed there for about a half hour taking in the beauty of it, before getting back on to the bus that was now beginning to smell because of all the damp people and their belongings.

... the majority of this. There was one spot where we had to get out of the bus to walk around and it was at the Tower of Trigonio. It is attached to one of the main walls built in Greece. Attached are some of the pictures taken at the tower and of the wall itself. From here, we had a spectacular view of the city. It's hard to find a place where the city doesn't look beautiful.
