    ... gives me an excuse to come back! 26th May - waking up to clouds it was going to be the best day yet! Elephants! We were gonna ride an elephant! Another thing on my bucket list to be crossed off. While being out here all I have brought is elephant clothes. I couldn't wait. So we get to this place and they are everywhere, like 9/10 of them including the little baby ones...On we get to an elephant named Pinky! Through the jungle we treck and it starts to rain, ...

    ... shuttle and new tickets! Perfect. So we are FINALLY HERE :D Staying in the most amazing little hotel on the beach near Patong...watched the most amazing sunset with a yummy dinner to fill our bellies costing a whooping 60p...and there's still some leftovers for tomorrow :) With two girlies with sand in their hair and swollen feet I think it's time for some showers and head to the beach bar for some cold beers..nighty night DD ...

    Wednesday rest and swim at the resort, shopping. Diner at No 6 in Patong Beach, great Thai food.
    Thursday, pick up at 8.30am for PhiPhi Island speed boat tour. Snorkelling, buffet Lunch, Visited island where "The Beach" was filmed (Leonardo de Caprio). Brett and Ryan played cricket where they made the movie :)
    Friday rainy day, rest, shop in Patong Beach. Back to No 6 for ...

    ... for food the kids won't eat. We cajole the kids into walking back on the beach where we saw a couple of people doing that ski boat parachuting. The Thai guy on the back steering is not strapped in at all - it is incredible that they do not fall off. The beach vendors have started to come back offering all their usual wares. I have thought about how they have survived making no money the last couple of days but it was nice to have the beach free ...

    ... a little later than we'd liked - heading out at about 8.30/8.45, but it was like a ghost town. We literally walked around for an hour before we found a pizza place to eat, so obviously had pizza for dinner! Afterwards, we walked home an went to sleep.
