... run. It is extremely helpful to have our own translators! Thursday Maria took us to the archeology museum. I never knew that so many branches of that science existed! The museum is well laid out and tells the story very effectively of the many cultures who have dwelt in this region. We also visited the Museo MUBAG and were most impressed by the work of local artist Joaquin Sorollo. This 19th century artist is known for the transmission of concepts such as light ...

Marina had planned a sleep-over with her three cousins, so they swam, ate dinner and watched a movie that Maria projected in the courtyard. The adults had dinner under the stars at 10:30 pm. Hilli manages to lose the way walking back, so we walk at least three miles... excellent ...

Ali, Sue and I spent a couple of hours there topping up our tans then we all drove South to Calpe for a seafood lunch. Calpe is a largish town with some pretty beaches a lots of high rise ...

    Mountain drive

... hairpin bends, to an out of the way bar called l'Entra for delicious tapas. We were the only people dining that night, if you exclude the hungry looking cats that were tempted to join us. The tapas dishes were random, with no menu to go from, and kept coming until we gave the word to stop. A really fun way to eat with some tasty surprises and not one disappointment. At the end of the meal the owner lined up several bottles of grappas, etc and let us take our pick - happy ...
