... feet above sea level. Here is the view from our cabin. Although right off the hi-way, the campground was lovely. We even had the hot tub to ourselves under the stars! The campground owner was from Vermont and quickly assessed the type of campground we were looking for – privacy and trees (if possible). He recommended Cotopaxi, west of the Royal Gorge. ...

... the pictures would have been any better from the bridge.
From the top of the gorge, you could see railroad tracks along the river. They do offer a train ride through the bottom of the gorge that looked interesting, but they only offer trains in the morning. We had just finished with our pictures and were heading back down the switchbacks to US-50E when all of a sudden the sky opened up and it began to pour. I don't know if it was ...

... Excuse the inside joke between myself and the other modelers. I am amazed at how dehydrated I became fighting the winds. I drank 72 oz of water riding and nearly that while pecking this. I will close for now. Went to a City Market to get a Vitamin Water for the cramps I am having. ... don't have to pedal at all. I had a stellar breakfast burrito at "Betty's Burritos" to start the day. The other highlight was me converting to mountain bike shoes and pedals. I was tired of the plastic road bike cleats wearing away quickly and filling with muck at every stop. The bicycle purists among you will collectively cry as you read this. To those who know Rodney, he drove clean through a red trafic light today. ...

... Cafe. Obviously the best value place to eat/drink as it is packed every evening. Happy hour is 3-6pm and great value. Local microbrewery beers on tap. Colorado Amber Ale is a favourite of ours. Their Bowl of Chilli is hot, warming and filling. The burgers are fantastic (better than Two Moos), Enchiladas tasty but not sure about the orange cheese, Nachos is superb - a generous portion that well and truly satisfied us for less than $10!
