The next day we decided to keep the car for another day since the cost of the rental car was only 25 Euro per day and go relax at one of the beaches in the southwest section of the island.       ... to Parikia, visited the cathedral and the archaeological museum. The archaeological museum in Parikia is one of the few museums with original sculptures from the 6th and 5th centuries BC and not Roman copies.       ... but with the wind stronger than the day before and the sky looking rather bleak we were not too fussed. The fact that we had seen little of the island didn't overly play on our minds as we had used the time to relax and plan the next month of our trip in addition I think that we were a bit depleted when it came to caring about ruins, churches and temples.
      So it was off to the port where the real Greek adventure began.
