      ... get cold and wet on purpose! We did see one alligator - all too briefly - and a fair few different bird species, however the scenery, the visit to the Chesser Homestead, and tbe visitor centre were actually worth the $5.00 entry fee.

      We went back to our camp site, started a fire and grilled some delish pork chops and corn on the cobb. Half way through dinner it started pouring with rain again! We raced back inside. The rain didn't last too long but by then I'd changed into dry clothes and was too tired to go back out again. We called it a night.
