We also met up with their friends and Heather's family during the stay which was really good - everybody seemed very relaxed and friendly. ... back at the condo, Josh and I have been to the outdoor hot tub, but didn't make any pix - same hot tub as before. And I guess I'd better start getting stuff together to head for home and Maui tomorrow.

Josh actually saw a pretty good-sized shark, but by the time I got there to make its picture, it was too far below the surface to show up. I made a photo of where a shark used to be, but didn't include it here. (Pretty dull photo, actually.)

Then Larry came back and caught me reading my book. What is it about me and FDR??? This book is excellent. Nourishes my brain. I don't know how many people would bring a book about the relationship between Roosevelt and Churchill on vacation, but I did.

Larry suggested we try out the Sassy Bass restaurant out close to ...

... masses as well as marine territories. The Fort Pickens area includes beautiful sand dunes ans beaches and a fort that was in use as recently as WWII. Our campsite was in a quiet corner of a secluded loop of the campground with a big shady tree and a view of the dunes. The forecast was for rain but the skies were fairly clear when the sun set around 7:30pm.
