... Our last day in Florence was New Year’s Day. We catch an early train to Rome tomorrow. Lots of shops are closed today.... at least till the evening so we are taking the day to relax, sleep in, I spent some time at my favorite coffee shop (I was so happy to turn the corner to see they were open!)
One last note, we just got back from dinner... our last in Florence. We ate at Buca Mario and it was truly the best restaurant ...

... Card otherwise you go into the church first. The crypt is actually like cloisters with the flat engraved plaques on the ground and frescoes on the walls. The vaulted ceilings around the edges were also painted. There was a chapel that had wonderful frescoes on the walls & ceiling. There were then a few rooms displaying the church's special objects.
