Today was a 12 hour bus tour of Siena, San Gimignano (locally shortened San Gi) and Pisa by a company called Walkabout Tours. We left Florence at 8.30am, got onto the motorway and headed for Siena, beautiful and interesting Medieval town. The town is built on a hill so people walk everywhere and it is ******* the legs. ... night, which was massive and served rare, and I loved it!! I climbed the town duomo, which is 452 stairs to the top of the cathedral and is so worth the view. At one point the stairs come out inside the cathedral and you're standing inside the dome, the roof paintings within reaching distance. What a good view!
