There are no vehicles in Venice, no scooters or bikes, the only mode of transport is feet, ferries, water taxi's and of course Gondola's. All plans come down to this. The Speech I had in my head from the night before has been completely forgotten so ...

... enjoyed seeing the sights and having a bit more of a bearing of where we have been and where we are going. It was a pretty full ferry and about 4 or 5 stops along the way. I liked watching people struggle with their giant suitcases and was very grateful we stored our big bags.

Bit sad as the airport stop arrived. Back to reality as we walked pulling our overnight bags along the walkway looking out for our terminal. ...

      We Sailed All Day

A travel blog entry by pverco on Jul 21, 2014

... note on the cruise is that we have formal meals (suits and evening dresses etc) about every five days. We were warned about this, hence had to pack the suit etc. I thought I could get away from wearing a suit for awhile!! Not what you may normally expect on a cruise where we go very casual in shorts etc. for the rest of the time!! At night in some of the restaurants however, you do have to wear long trousers / ...
