    ... was really uneven because of the water getting inside the church.

    Venice was so cool from what I have seen.


    Today is Riley's birthday and he is having it in Venice.

    He got a water gun, headphones,itunes and pokemon cards.

    Riley chose putt putt for his birthday. It was so fun.

    No one got a hole in one though.

    ... nice! It was entertaining to watch the cafe 'manager' standing out the front 'encouraging' people to come in for a meal. He had a menu written in a variety of languages to entice diners in but he was also very obviously watching female passer-bys. Seems to be acceptable with no one else even noticing the leering looks of the manager. The meal itself was just what we needed.

    ... the streets. It was an incredibly unique and beautiful city. We shopped and saw the sights, then eventually we ended up in St. Mark's Square. IT WAS AMAZING! Probably my favorite piazza we've seen so far. The basilica facade was colorful and vibrant and the city seemed alive with amusement and history.     ... but nevertheless enjoying our travels. Finally we caved and bought a map. Did it help?? hmmm not sure about that.
    We found the Rialto bridge and finally St Mark's Square. Passed on having a coffee here, as it was cheaper for us both to catch the public ferry the length of the Grand Canal than to buy one coffee. The ride was brilliant and we had a great view of all the activities on the canal.

    ... Chelsea said there was a whole section in her Venetian travel book about what to do if you are pooped on by a pigeon. For your information, if it poops on your clothes, wipe it off immediately. If it poops it your hair, let it dry and then comb it out. Or alternatively, freak out and run home for a shower.
