... is absorbing a book and sunshine around the Hotel Pool while Kay, who has joined us for a couple of weeks from Brisbane is exploring the shops. I am writing this lounging in a beach bar, listening to some reggae, sipping a Becks and considering moving myself to have a swim in the glittering blue just metres away. Big decision. But I don't really have to decide on anything very much until we head off to Santorini in a week's time. I'll let you know how I ...

We eventually got a bus ride today granted it was still an annoyance. The bus team neglected to notify us that the schedule we were given two days ago has changed ... Grrr... Me not like greek buses..... Anyhow made our way just a few KM away to Anna beach and promptly set up to build some sand castles. The water was an incredible turquoise and all was good. I am trying to get ...

After waiting for the sun to come out behind the clouds for a shot of them we wandered ...

... drive we saw a few marble mines. Marble is naturally occurring in most of the mountains in Naxos. There are many discarded slabs of marble on the side of the roads. Nick kept wanting to take some home but I thought our luggage would definitely be overweight! We left the Temple of Demeter and drove toward the center of the island to Chalki and Fíloti. Chalki used to be the capital of Naxos and it's now a village of 150 people. Fíloti is the ...

We had time to kill before our ferry after checking out, so went for a wander around Fira and found a cheap enough place for an early lunch. We both got a tasting plate with mixed Greek specialties for €8 each. My favourite was the stuffed vine leaves, and as always I can't get enough tzatziki.

After the two hour ferry ride to Naxos, we had just enough time to drop our bags at the hotel then head for a drink while we waited for Iona and Hayden to arrive from ...
