A bit further on we came across a lovely bakery in a little village and bought 2 bread rolls, a piece of milk custard cake and two small yummy cakes. It made us feel better about the bag of motley fruit! ...

He broke a wine glass accidentally on his way back to his seat, but got a laugh from the spectators when he cried, "Opa!" ... top, and a tad embarrassed when we stopped to talk to a German documentary maker who had carried a giant Hollywood caliber video camera all the way up the same path we had climbed. ... sites, ancient ruins, farming and grazing land. Quite a diversity on this the largest of the Greek Islands. Nothing like Santorini but has its own charm being less hectic and more a traditional Mediterainian way of life. Very hilly off the coast but this provides spectacular views around every corner.
