After a quick final yoghurt fruit and honey for breakky, we headed to Parikia to board a fast ferry to Rafina (mainland Greece).

... scurrying into the safety of shop doorways. The laneways wind and zig zag and are seldom straight. We are told the theory behind this was to confuse and deter the Pirates. There are shops selling everything - clothes and jewellery being the predominant items, but plenty of cafes. All the buildings are white and i can't help wondering what the colour charts look like in the local paint and hardware stores. Window trims seem to be the only choice available ...

The remainder of the morning was spent eating breakfast and skyping home to check in and update all of our various goings on. This is far more relevant for Brendon as communication can be somewhat of an afterthought sometimes.

Last chance to laze on the beach, same as all annual - repeat European visitors – exactly what the Isles are renowned for and what we felt should do to complete our experience. Fortunately perfect beach day so enjoyed several swims, strolls and dozes that very quickly occupied a whole day.
