The next day we decided to keep the car for another day since the cost of the rental car was only 25 Euro per day and go relax at one of the beaches in the southwest section of the island.       ... went through the town starting at 2pm and all the shops and stores were closed. We soon found out that the businesses close from 2pm to 6pm and it was best to do any shopping in the morning. We explored Naoussa's small port, a ruin of a Venetian Castle at the end of the breakwater and the narrow alleys/paths within the city.       ... it we thought it an idea to get some fresh air and scope out somewhere for dinner.Being Sunday and being end of season Naxos was exactly how we imagined Mykonos would have been with very little open and of those that were very little interested us.

      ... and hora, particularly at night when the sun is not blaring down on us. And there are heaps of shops that sell anything you could ever want. Our hotel is so well located, next to a gorgeous beach and just a short stroll to the Marina.       ... the various earthquakes and the history and culture of the people who lived there typified by the sophistication of the wall paintings recovered and displayed.
