Graham met another trathlete on the campsite and they decided to travel on the 7.30 bus into Geneva. An early start with number tattoos applied , sun cream on and pre race breakfast. I delivered them to the bus stop and went back to see if there was any other signs of life at base camp. Slowly the campers emerged and prepared themselves for the day ahead in the hot sun, We failed to get to the bus stop by 10am as planned so had to wait another half ann ...

... We packed the bikes, packed our gear, and headed to bed for an early night, as we are leaving the hotel for our flight to Bastia, at 4.30 am. Friday We got up at 4.00 am, and the hotel shuttle took us and our bike boxes the 5 min drive to the airport. Our flight to Bastia was uneventful, just 55 mins, and we collected our luggage and bike boxes, and conveniently the bus into town had storage holds underneath, and we were able to put the bike boxes there for the 22 km trip ...

We returned to Geneva in the afternoon by which time the roads had been shut so an enormous traffic jam made it slow progress but eventually we parked the car and Graham racked his bike and went for a practice swim. The enormous GB team gathered for the parade and we managed to meet up with Simon and Elly having successfully completed their 12 day cycle down the Rhine to Basel and getting the train to Geneva. ...

... woke up as soon as we walked in the door. So I feed him quickly and put him back to bed. By the time I got him in bed it was late enough that he wasn't going to be able to have that long of a nap. I wasn't even sure if he would fell back to sleep. Luckily he did so he got a bit of rest.

After a while I woke him up and made our way to the doctors office, Phil meet us there. Immediately Riley knew this would be a good doctor, she had a train set in her waiting room. ...

... the rest of the way. I couldn't believe he did it I barely made it up myself and I was just carrying myself. I think part of the problem was they were quite narrow so I was feeling a little claustrophobic plus you couldn't turn around so that may have made it worse.
