    Drove to Steamboat Springs, nice drove, had some rain, arrived at KOA it was off the freeway, about 2 miles from downtown, the site #71 was gravel dirt, setup and then went to downtown and surrounding area checked the trails and walked the dogs about a mile or so, in light rain, , The next morning we had about 2-3 inches of snow on the ground,, we took dogs for a walk in morning downtown, then we ...

    We also saw peewee barrel riding (small children riding horses around barrels). The rodeo also featured kids running around, trying to grab a ribbon off of a calf (for the older kids 6-12) or a ram (for the kids under 6). Cole chose to sit out and simply watch. Maybe next time we go to a rodeo he'll partake in the fun.

    From start to finish we put over 3,000 miles on the Subaru (Little Sue) and every one of those was well worth it. This was an unforgettable American road trip that I highly recommend everyone take at least once in their lives.

    Breakfast again at the Paramount - French toast was good but the Chicken and Dumplings (again) were better. Skied a few runs, then took a break at the condo.     ... had never seen snow like it. We had a lot of fun doing runs down the backside of the mountain, practicing our riding switch (that's your unpreferred foot first) and doing jumps. It was so cold that your neck warmer and any other material out in the weather would freeze solid. Mike was having trouble with his camelbak, it was frozen solid.
