We got plenty of pictures and then walked down and around some rocks for me to see and touch SNOW! Don was convinced it would be an ice sheet so was quite shocked when a snow ball came hurtling in his direction. I was so pleased to finally touch snow, I was informed it wasn't as nice as fresh ...

... lost his front wheel due to the slippery conditions and slid into a tree head first. He had just come through but I talked to a fellow competitor after the race who was right behind him and he said it was very sickening to see. Hopefully he will be okay but not a nice way to finish. After that the next part of decent was quite somber and people were patient as we had a lot of steep twisting boardwalk which really needed chicken wire over it to help with grip. You had to not brake ...
