... bird is the California Gull. there were thousands of them. The American Avocet is a beautiful bird. I would have chosen it for the state bird over the gull! We hoped to see herds of buffalo roaming the island but we only saw six or so single guys. We got a good video of a Pronged Antler Antelope that was standing on the road. He looks kinda thirsty. Well, after about 3 hours of sleep, we got up, showered, went down to the lobby to say goodbye to Eduardo before boarding the bus and going to the airport. The flight went off without a hitch and we made it from Quito to Houston on time. Customs, baggage claim and security took about 2 hours in Houston and then we grabbed a quick lunch before boarding the flight from Houston to Salt Lake City.
