Naxos

A travel blog entry by hollyingram92 on Aug 06, 2015

... chocolate parfait, chocolate caramel and many more. So all in all a very relaxed time spent in Naxos. Oh except we are pretty sure the maid took €20 euros from each of us on the first day so we are now locking up our belongings. It was a very cute place, definitely somewhere to bring small children so who knows maybe one day we will be back together plus minions. I hope this week has been good for you and as relaxed as finishing your job and starting another can be. I love you ...

The final bit

... Express, a ferry ship whose misguided approach of the bay cost 83 lives 15 years ago. Another option was to go to the shore by dinghy, walk to Naoussa, rent a motor bike and go inform the Yacht services in person. But I felt I could not leave the boat behind and the next rental would probably be a long walk away. We could also ask one of the other boats around us, but then how could they help. Ideas came and went. I thought I should do this more often. The morning ...

First, you people make me laugh with comments, and emails. I try not to post you blurry photos even if it is a cool sight, and I'm sleep deprived. Plus, I actually enjoyed a view the other night without a camera in my hand. I know it doesn't help you out, and it was strange for me too. Secondly, convert to Islam? I don't think so. I enjoy ribs, and bacon to much for that......lol. This brings up something I thought was hysterical last week. We are sailing to an ...

This morning I wake up early and start the day with a run. The streets of Naxos are empty before 7am, except for a few other tourists having a morning walk and two others going on a run like me. I run up and down the stairs to Apollo's gate four times, all 80 steps, and there is another lady there with me. It is do quiet at this hour of the morning and a great way to take everything in. After breakfast we head out up our car, a small 4 door Nissan Micra. We head to the ...

... The food here is phenomenal! We shared a Greek salad and pork souvlaki--- oh my god! The souvlaki was soo good!! We haven't had souvlaki worth mentioning since Athens at Meatropolis 3! And trust me, Steph has ordered souvlaki at almost every restaurant in search of good souvlaki. (Shout out to Greek Town in Toronto-- your souvlaki is better than what we've tried (thus far) in Greece!) We were picked up by Dani from Kokou, she and her husband Ivan are ...
