After a restful night, we took our time in the AM. Went to a highly recommended breakfast place, Creekside Cafe. Sat outside on a tributary (Soda Creek) of the Yampa. S- Rancheros with eggs, and chorizo sausage J- Corned beef eggs benedict. This place more than lived up to it's reputation.

Margie and Larry had told us about the new library in town so off we went after breakfast to find it. This facility was built right on the Yampa River with beautiful views ...

These townships are symtomized by small dirt streets, no running water or toilets in the houses, no nearby health services, no legal electricity & thus no refrigeration, no garbage collection and on and on. If you have a medical problem there, no ambulance can get down ...

This was my 6th annual trip to Steamboat. I do the same trip each year where I spend 4-5 days skiing at Steamboat and then 3-4 days staying at Vista Verde Ranch in Clark, CO where I enjoy cross country skiing, horseback riding and snowshoeing. This is the ideal trip for me as it is the best of both worlds; I get to spend a few days in a lively town environment where the skiing is great and many restaurant choices abound, and then I retreat to the rustic elegance of ...
