      ... this (18:00) is that we try to make it 'round the corner’ ie sail past Simrishamn to the point of Sweden where the land curves westwards, towards Ystad. There is a harbour about 9 miles east of Ystad called Kåseberga and that is where we hope to make. This is then a good dropping off point for Denmark and if we succeed in doing that on Monday, we’d be back on schedule.       ... channel wasn’t useable by boats, after all our draft is not that great. We did actually get through, but at times the depth gauge was registering zero so of course, we proceeded very, very slowly and with me on the bow keeping a look out for even shallower water. In truth, because we had to curtail our speed, I doubt that we saved any time by taking this route but still, nothing ventured and all that.
