... Conto's. It is a really nice spot, very spacious and each site has a picnic table, a cooking fire pit with log seating around it. There are also toilets, a big clean camp kitchen and free firewood which is trucked in by the council. It was really nice to have a camp fire again but it did rain briefly a few times. There have been kookaburras and kangaroos visit our campsite this afternoon.

The Margaret River area is known for their premium wines and I have to say the overall quality of the wines is ...

... to the beach at Windy Harbour at one stage.

We stopped for lunch at Northcliffe and saw firsthand just how close the fires came to the town. We also saw the make shift camp setup at the local showgrounds for those Blaze Aid volunteers who are assisting local farmers to rebuild fences lost to the fires.

After lunch we pushed on through Pemberton and finally to Augusta where we arrived mid-afternoon. The caravan park ...

We visited the Perth mint in the morning of the 5th. It is only used to make souvenirs and commemorative coins. They did manufacture the gold medals for the Sydney Olympics. There also the world's largest gold coin, the Kangaroo, it weighs 1 tonne (2240 lb) with a face value of $1,000,000.

We then drove to Margaret River, stopping a couple of times to get some grocery, bought a $1 ice ...
