... until the second day, as it can only be accessed from outside. The giant deck is great for bird watching and wildlife spotting. The red tail cockatoos make a huge racket as they crack open the nuts from the tree out front. There are notes not to leave food out on the counter. Hmm... They don’t come right out and say there are mice, but we hear the rustling of plastic in the garbage nightly.

... in W. A. was made in Birmingham. Why landlocked Birmingham developed an expertise in lighthouse lanterns is a matter for conjecture. We took an audio tour of the lighthouse area but did not feel inclined to go up all the steps to the top. There were signs asking people to beware of the snakes but we did not encounter any. ... amazing cave that we have seen. The Cape is where the Indian Ocean meets the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately, it was quite windy and the demarcation was not obvious. We had time to visit an olive oil producer called Whirlwind and had a womderful chat and tasting with the owner. The olive farm apparently is his retirement hobby. Na een erg gezellig weekend met onze vrienden uit Sydney was het vanochtend tijd om afscheid te nemen. Eerst rijden ze naar Perth om vervolgens naar Sydney te vliegen...10 uur vliegen voor een weekend... prachtig!....we hebben genoten.

... for our lunch. We have had to decide what we want for lunch as soon as we got on the bus this morning, so when we are seated in the restaurant, our meals are very swiftly delivered. Terry and I ordered the minute stead sandwich with onion jam on Turkish bread, it's absolutely delicious and goes down very well with the nice little Sauvignon Blanc from the Watershed winery.
