We're now further up the coast in St. Pete's Beach, FL. Sunny Florida has gone a bit cool on us with cloudy skies. We walked on the beautiful St. Pete's beach every day, sometimes twice a day, and generally relaxed, reading and watching tv. This is a summer vacation town and there's not much else to do here, especially in the off season.
After a couple days, we drove north to the Florida panhandle, staying for the weekend in ...
This morning we were up and on the road early to get into Clearwater as early as possible. We went to visit the Clearwater Aquarium to Winter and Hope, the dolphins from the Dolphin Tale movies. When we arrived at the aquarium we found it quite a challenge to find a parking spot. After circling the area a few times, we lucked out and snagged a spot being vacated by a family who were leaving. There was a Viking ship ride that swung ...
... and went to a Costco just a few blocks away. Lynn picked out two rather garish shirts for me for our celebration down in the Keys. We stocked up on meat and cheese too. The place was a madhouse. Saturday, it seems all of the oldsters get out of the house to check out their driving skills, or so Lynn seems to think. I had to laugh, since they have all week long to shop and wait until the weekend... their days off, I imagine.
