As we've travelled we've told a couple of people about where we are going and they've looked us horrified and asked 'the Gold Coast? Why?' And of course, they've gone on to explain why it's such a pile of **** there. Most descriptions offered up suggest that Surfer's Paradise is tacky and cheap. I have to say, upon arrival, that I actually disagree. We left Brisbane at half past 11 this morning after yet another McDonalds (Honest, I'll stop soon), and took the Greyhound ...

A few surfers were riding waves over the blue waters in the twilight and Lucy was hurling herself into the shallows again and again in pursuit of sticks. It was a perfect way to end a fabulous first full day on the east ...

    Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Trip

... two families, one from Japan and the other was from Brazil. They were lovely people and it was a great opportunity to meet someone new.

After we had lunch, we all gathered together and got back on to the bus and went back to the AITC campus to finish the rest of our school day. The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary was a great experience for everyone. We all loved the day and came away with some great knowledge and a new appreciation for what they do for our community.
