Who would believe we have ended up today on the longest and highest lift in the world today. Taking the 30 min Gondola from Whistler Village up to the top of Whistler Mountain and then managing to catch virtually the last ride on the Peak to Peak Gondola across to Blackcomb Mountain another 4.5 kms and well above the valley.

Left Sun peaks at 8am and travelled 7 hrs to Whistler.

The scenery changed a lot from dry arid looking country to spectacular ...

... I found Justine and Sarah. Sarah and I enjoyed some Cc and Drys together! So in the group that formed there was 2 Justine's and 2 Sarah's. ... are so many people out on the course cheering as well as helping out. 99.9% of the competitors are so genuine and encouraging to all out there - mountain biking caters for everyone of all shapes and sizes and though for many this has been a steep learning curve, everyone will go away with a sense of achievement. ... as a server at the restaurant but will continue that after I come back from the Stampede. Stampede starts shortly and I'll be heading to Calgary again next week for that.
