... too cold where every body part hurt so we called it quits early. We found out that Heavenly closed early too because of the conditions. Our plan was to take Jalen to see fireworks at Heavenly village on NYE but we cut the trip short and left NYE because of the horrible weather. It is way to cold, highs of 18. Jalen played a few minutes in the snow but not long because his face turned red. He really did enjoy the snow and kicking it and throwing it. He will have a blast in ...

... the Silvermans. After we got back I went to the SaveMart and got enough barbeque stuff to feed an army. We cooked out and caught up that night. Junior and Katya the owners of the Le Chamois joined us with their daughters. It was fun and it struck me that Tahoe is quite a community especially for the year round residents.

... trip; crossing over Donner Pass, going from city to town, wet to dry, green to brown.

I had these facts:

Elevation: Sacramento 25 feet. Carson City 4,687 feet.

Population: Sacramento 489,488 people. Carson City 55,374 people.

But that didn’t tell me how beautiful all of it would be. I could wax poetic about the drive, instead I’ll just show you what I saw ...
