    ... picturesque especially at sunset.

    Our plans have changed somewhat as we want to visit Pltvice lakes and not having a car and the lakes been in the middle of nowhere we were finding it a little difficult. We diverted hiring a car by traveling to Zagreb and then getting transport to the lakes which is only 2 hours or so instead of round trip from split been 12 hours or so.

    ... Croatia. What was startling about the town and area was the empty buildings. Before the war in the 1990s the town and region had about 25,000 people with about 10,000 Serbs. Now there is about 15,000 people and about 900 Serbs.
