      David went for a walk around the base of Marjan and I looked around the Diocletian Palace which is on the harbour front. It was built by the Emperor Diocletian in 300EC. It's a massive structure facing the sea on the south side with walls 15-20 metres high. It has houses and streets and shops, cafés and restaurants amongst the historic sites.
