My birthday!!
... to come thru way early (about 20 minutes early, I think). Tyler Farrar took the stage.
We had to hit the road, to get to a campground on the way to Gunnison before dark. We chose to not go as far as Blue Mesa Reservoir, as we originally planned, but stopped at Cimarron.
We read a bit, gazed at the stars a bit, then tucked ourselves into the Durango for a snooze.

Jeeping Once Again!
... to head back to Ouray, it was starting to get dark, and that and the rainclouds turned the sky a deep blue color behind the reddish-orange mountains. It was beautiful!
Driving back into town, the lights from the town filled the dark valley. We drove back to our hotel, and we are now watching the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics, while we plan for our day full of jeeping tomorrow!!

... to Imogene Pass..well almost to Imogene Pass. I actually stopped about 1 mile short of the pass and just enjoyed the view from a little lower.
