We had a sleep in...hoorah! OK, so it was only until just after 7.30, but we'll take it. And we were greeted by rain. A downpour. It was rather nice after 5 weeks of almost no rain at all. Emma was so excited she disappeared and then reappeared in her rain jacket ready to jump out on the balcony.

One other little interesting piece of information we got before leaving was the info on the famous Bird Girl statue. The sculpture was commissioned as a garden sculpture for a family in Massachusetts but four statues ...

... a forest of trees so even though you are in a busy little town it seems you are driving through a forest. There are just these little signs to tell you what store is hiding behind the trees. We must have circled the block two or three times just to find Walmart. It makes it a little frustrating when the GPS keeps telling you that you have reached your destination but you can't see ...
