Thought we might spend a week here but tomorrow, we will drive back to Edisto Island to spend the week at the quiet state park on the beach relaxing and re-energizing before the next phase. It's more isolated and relaxed. This place is pretty but a little too upscale for our budget and too many people. My aren't we just turning into the recluses?

... and pirates that continually hit the playground. They would climb up the rope net and ring the bell to signal a wave was coming and to board the ship. After about an hour of using the playground as a big ship they realized the tire swing could be used as a miniature tea cup. Alison would spin them round and round until they said stop. When they got off they would walk around in complete dizziness. Kody even fell to the ground ...
... film Midnight in
the Garden of Good and Evil. A film we started watching- but have not
yet had time t finish- so we'll keep you posted about whether he was
the murderer or not. We had a look around the main park and had a few
photos infront of the beautiful fountain- but it was nothing special
really- just one of the smaller squares on a massive scale. At this
point, our tummys were beginning to rumble (for a change...) so we
headed to ...
... pool and pulled up the fire hat for Mr. Potato head. The rest of the kids pulled some random parts, but Kody was up again and he headed back to the steps to find the arm of Mr. Potato head. At the sight of the arm on the steps he tried to dive under, but was restricted due to the float. He was able to reach the plastic arm with his long reach, and stood up on the steps to launch him back towards the side of the pool so he could swim as fast as he could. ...
... the Island Playground, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's where we had left Alison and Grandma with the jewelry party. It looked like the party was a great success because even after 2 hours there were several people in there buying goodies. As the party wrapped up Kody and Noel gave their parting kisses and hugs before our short journey back home.
