Walking back from Max and Sarah's apartment last night we spotted the sign featured in the photo for the day. Clearly things have not been all that well in the USA for some time when cafes and restaurants are using the recession as a marketing tool!

... historic Route 66, rather than the interstate, much to the dismay of our sat nav who was constantly telling us contrary directions. All the little towns looked magic. We stopped en route taking loads of photos.
