A travel blog entry by a.baker.abroad on Apr 09, 2015

With Vegas down it was time to head to a different part of the desert for Coachella music festival. As an absolute bucket list item for both myself and Tiff this was always going to be a highlight of the trip. I started the drive from Vegas heading for Palm Springs but still being a little sleep deprived from Vegas tiff took over for the remainder of the drive. We dropped the car at the Palm Springs airport ...

There are over 400 variety of birds that live or visit there, and so the cacophony of bird song was quite something. Lots of white and brown pelicans, egrets, great blue herons, stilts, gills etc. We probably saw ...

After a feast and seeing in the New Year with great excitement...the New Year started off well - Paul, Moo and I went for a jog around the golf course - beautiful temperature and scenery. We all then left Paul, Tallie and Jaxon to shop and relax while the rest of the Michael Farrell clan, Sertoris, Jaimee, ...

    Caught a cheetah

Day 46 Another really early morning as today we are driving the longest distance. It will take us 10 hours to get to our next campsite. To break up the drive we stopped at a conservation where we got to see karakaw cats, leopards and cheetahs! I got to pet, snuggle and hug a cheetah! One of the happiest moments of my life! It was so much like a cat. It purred, and loved its belly scratched. We got back on the truck and kept driving. We got to our campsite, set up, and left ...
