... Papa when on a hike to the Coachellla Valley Preserve. A lovely gentle hike around the desert to an oasis where we had a picnic. Apart from Papa losing Ted for a short while the walk was just lovely. It's dinner tonight at Papa's house where Mum is cooking a roast pork. The cousins continue to have a blast ...
... Jean Charles Pivot and yummy cheddar cheese, we ate well again. Now we are packing to leave .....the flight to YVR is full so we will be going via Calgary...Brr!. I am sitting on the balcony enjoying the Macon wine and trying to soak up the balmy evening as I am sure it will be rainy back at home. We even saw a Roadrunner today just outside our room and tonight we heard the coyotes again.. They must hang around the golf course when the golfers all go ...
... sweatshirts, pajamas, 2 tank tops, a swimsuit, 6 scarves, 8 pairs of socks, undies, and 3 belts. Not too bad- eh? After all that packing perfection we decided to check one bag after all, so I took everything apart again, put a bunch of stuff into Dennis' bag, and put a bunch of his stuff into my bag. That way if my checked bag gets delayed I'm ok for a couple of days, and I don't have to sneak 2 quart size bags of liquids past the TSA... Big ...
... switched out the memory cards, made sure the motion sensor was working and the camera was taking pictures. All was in order. The bike ride itself was a bit painful, as we rode through everything from soft soil/sand to large rocks. It's a bit different riding bikes in the “bush” than at home. Thankful that I had some experience riding bikes on gravel roads.
I got back to the home base with an incredibly sore bum (I think it might be bruised) ...
