    ... world's Joshua trees grow here. They are not really a tree, but a species of yucca. A majority are pretty scrawny, but there were many fine specimens.     ... highway, came over to Palm Desert, and did some exchanging/shopping, bought some wine, and went to Sun City to see Guy and Celine. We always have so much fun with them. They showed us pictures of their new condo in Montreal, and of their recent trip to Tahiti. This was all capped off by one of Celine's spectacular dinners. Golf tomorrow and Wednesday at Sun City.

    ... in the middle of nowhere with no electricity. It had a watering hole right in the middle of the facility where the animals come at night to drink from it. We got picked up by a local and went on a little safari/ survival course. We drove all around the Namib desert chasing oryx, zebras, ostriches, and lots of other animals.     Today we drove from Sequoia and Kings Canyon down through Southern California.     ... Coachella is the home also of the fabulous music festival, The Coachella Music Festival, held in April. The headliners this year are The Rolling Stones. We hope to be long gone from the area by then. And it is VERY expensive, costing upwards of $1000 a piece for what I believe is a three-day event.
