... during the thick of the storm. The afternoon Dartmouth Coach buses were canceled in the morning but the afternoon ones ran. We were just about the only vehicle on the road and I arrived to find the usually very busy South Station deserted. Even McDonalds was closed. The Massachusetts governor had just declared a state of emergency and told to taxis to stay home. My taxi driver said that he had bills to pay and he was grateful for the fare. ...
... and we need to get back to help him get into his new house.
We will be back on Thursday, but it is just as hot here in Palm Desert as it is in Phoenix.

... orange groves, table grape vineyards, lettuce patches and dead-straight rows of some unknown green stuff just beginning to sprout...this is very verdant country!
Tomorrow we are off to the desert, one of our favorite spots...meanwhile, the sun continues to shine and the mockingbirds sing (well, Brian doesn't think it sounds like singing!)...life is good!

Well today was a nice relaxed slow day....the Papa Peter house went on a trip on the golf cart to the market where Ted was able to spot cacti and see the sights of the golf course. Pete and Papa played golf. Swimming, relaxing at the Farrell bro house ...
We woke up a little later and had breakfast at the hotel and then went back to Costco to buy W a few shirts and pants plus wine and a pair of white cropped jeans for me then we were off to Chicos where I bought a couple of camisoles, pair of runners at New Balance, tea for Erik and Kara at Teavana and some T shirts for me at Loft. Then we were off to Bristol farms for more salad and bread for dinner. Paired with some white Burgundy called ...
