Cat Ba National Park and Ha Long Bay
... our way through the security and had a great swim then lay on the pristine white sand as deck chairs were 50,000D haha. It was a great little discovery that reminded me of Maya bay in Phi Phi. Meandered back past the markets and a bia hoi (homebrew bar) then back to the hotel for dinner. Didn't really hit the spot so everyone went for mango pancakes on the water after. Good bye Vietnam and South East Asia
Well, although we're really really sad to be leaving South East Asia again we have had the most incredible trip and it's felt like much more than a month given how much we have done.
Lots of people say that they want to go travelling so that they can get it out of their system but I don't think that is actually how it works. We have now spent nearly 3 months in South East Asia and we have far from got it out of our system. If anything it has just added massively to the list ...
Exploring Hanoi
... experienced... their version was FAR more civillised. One of the lads taking the pictures was also using an incredibly fancy camera with a hugely expensive lens on it, so clearly not all of Vietnam is as poor as the rest.
Next we went to the Museum of Ethnology, which was really quite interesting. They had a lot of examples of crafts and culture for different indigenous tribes, including paraphernalia of games, cooking, jewellery, weapons ...
