... The hosts had kindly offered to cook for us (we were very well treated this weekend) again and the fish tacos were delicious! Sam joined us for food and it was good to catch up after a couple of months to see what everyone is up to these days and all seems to be positive! In the build up to the weekend we'd been trying to save money (as always) and avoid spending unnecessarily. We just relaxed in the house, cooking for one another for a number of ...

          We need a holiday!
While frantically trying to complete a house renovation, Jillian needed two weeks off by the end of September. That's what happens when you don't take enough leave, "they" make you take leave.

Please check in every so often to see what we've been up to.
          Cheers,

          ... realizing I
had no time to find a nice place to eat in the sun, I booked it to
the Southern Cross Train Station (8 mins walking) and ate on the
          platform.

It is fun riding through the suburbs. I
was in a melancholy and funky mood. I
imagine I was an interesting sight, staring wistfully out the window
          and periodically tearing up. Oof.

After half and hour, I arrived at the
tiny Watsonia station, north of the CBD. From a distance, my poor

... view and the marina is very beautiful. The marina is home to some naval boats along with plenty of leisure boats as well, but a notable inclusion was a Sea Shepard which I had never heard of until the day. This is a boat which is a charitable organisation and heads out to sea to challenge whalers and unlawful fishermen in The Pacific - ther้'ve been a number of skirmishes out at sea that have been reported! Back at the house we met up and just spent the rest of our evening in the ...

Cabbed it to the Emirates Mall close by to the Hotel as that is all you can do, the Mall has a ski lift & runs also with penguins inside that part was 2o compared to the oppressive heat inside, had a coffee 'behind' the enclosure for a coffee, walked around Mall then back to Hotel. HOME tomorrow getting picked up 6.50am. Fantastic trip with great travel ...
