      ... face war. The answer was 'No', and Greece was attacked.

      In Naxos Town today all the primary and secondary school children marched and drummed their way to a Cenotaph and laid wreaths. Tomorrow is a public holiday and the whole town celebrates.

      We hired yet another small car and set off north around the coast over more hills and fertile valleys and climbed up to the tops of rocky, misty mountains ...

      It seems so much easier to meet people on the road than in Vancouver. I still don't quite understand what it is about VanCity that makes people keep their distance. Robert hesitated awkwardly before inviting the Dutch to dinner. It was so nice to plan a spontaneous get-together, not having to provide two weeks' notice to ensure there are no schedule conflicts. Another benefit of travel.

      ... but the only alternative out of about 20 restaurants was one that was Italian. I really felt like Thai but Italian was the next choice. The food was great and it even had real bruschetta!!
      Then went to a pharmacy to find some antibiotics which you just buy over the counter as in all the Mediterranean it seems.
      Tomorrow Rami is planning to get number one son onto a jet ski. I think he might be up for it this time!!

      ... where to go and do things as she gave us a map and tried to show us some things.

      We had a kitchenette, and fridge and the apartment really is quite quaint and beautiful. It is the shoulder season so there isn't a big crowd, we were the only people in our block of apartments. Until the weekend, when we discovered it was the Greek Easter and then it started to fill up. The weather is absolutely beautiful and we are off on foot this afternoon to investigate. ...
