Another lovely day here in Dubai and the perfect way to round off this leg of the trip. Met up with Ian and Jacqui and the rest of the gang today and had a lovely day at the beach at the Sofitel Palm Hotel. Sunbathing, swimming, paddleboarding and good company all made for a really enjoyable day.

Tired and frustrated, we quickly book a night's stay at a nearby hotel costing RM650 per night. UAE is a special count...

I wanted to get to the Palm and Atlantis before going to Dubai Ski. Looking at the bus map it didn't as straight forward as I thought it would be. My first stop had to be Gold Souk Station, ...

Cairo: another big sweaty city with mental taxi drivers (whose weapon of choice appears to be a 1975 Peugeot 504 in most cases). Didn't spend much time exploring the city, as I neede to relax a bit after moving every other day for 3 weeks.
Joined my tour group of 2 - and didn't really get on with the other guy, so hung out with the 2 most ex...
