As per usual, we were up at the crack of dawn this morning. So many places to do, things to see and just not enough time. But. we are already planning a return trip to the UK and places beyond based on what we decide at the end of this ten country journey. This morning we caught the tube over to the Tower of London to experience it first hand. Entrance fees are £22 per person which is roughly $40 CAD. But, well worth the ...

... and then down to Big Ben.

We got to go on a river cruise up the Thames to the Tower of London - listening to the commentary AND the old Chinese woman who insisted on singing "London Bridge is falling down" every time she got a glimpse of the bridge!

We get our tickets and stumble around to the correct train mind the gap and head out. I really do think we are starting to ...

This weekend we went to London. Luckily we got off early on Friday because all the kids left early. We had to get to the train station about an hour early because they had to check our passports and I got two stamps on my passport, neither which said London. English border control asked me about my visit to England just like when you go on an international flight. We had assigned seats on the train which is different from most train rides. The ride was about two hours long ...

For the first time since 25th November, I went out on my own. This morning I walked up to the boundary of the City of London to photograph the dragon at Bishopsgate, which we pass every time we take a bus. Then I went over to Arnold Circus, around which was built Boundary Estate, which claims to be the world's first council housing.

Where we are staying in Shoreditch is very interesting and fascinating historically. Charles Booth ...
