... it has reflections and lots of houses down to the water. As soon as you looked away from the river, it was really dry and barren but still hilly. So like Kamloops. We turned again at Pateros and headed along a smaller river and through an area that had massive bushfires go through it. It must have been a recent fire as people are just starting to clear their land where their houses burnt down. We saw many people who had lost their home and some that were saved.The burnt ...

... and picked a bunch of wild blackberries in our bathers and gumboots, and later on Kristi made a delicious smoothie while we chilled, caught up in everything technological, as we were without range while camping, and watched a movie. It's nice to be 'home' again, and in a familiar place!! As it's already almost 12:30, and it will be once this is done, I'm going to close the eyes and get some sleep as tomorrow comes soon enough! It has been very easy to ride here in the USA.

Can I also say that I have seen no grafitti anywhere and no flies to date.
Today we had an email from Mike Green he and Roger are in Beaver Creek in the Yukon and are enjoying their ride although the roads they have travelled have had a lot of damage as Alaska has had the coldest winter in 45 years so there is a lot of roadworks happening. Alaska could be very challenging.
