... The reason for my freakouts though, was that Hwy 108 (Sonora Pass) winds its way up through the forest with an elevation of 9624 feet above sea level. To put this into perspective, you can jump out of a plane at 10000 feet. Now the height combined with the narrow road, tight turns, steep slopes and drops with unguarded edges, left me wondering at times if we were going to drive over the edge! ... like cities so we didnt spend too much time there. Its nice being here this time of year because its still really good weather and it doesnt get dark til nearly 9pm so we can actually sit outside all night and not be in bed by like pm!haha.
Yosemite national park was amazing! As soon as we drove there it started to get even hotter.The scenery was really dry and rolling golden fields. Towards the park it was more trees and mountains. The park ticket was $20 for both of us ...

... on their own in the middle of the vastness rather surrounded by other empty buildings. Empty buildings are more liable to ghosts. Unfortunately you can't go into most of the buildings but you can see through the windows of the houses and shops and peer at the remnants of lives and the possessions that were left behind. Gary could have spent the entire day here roaming with his camera; in that morning he took 90 photographs.
