... I felt awful for cutting our trip short, but after 100 days of travel my body had decided it had been pushed too far. Icecave dropped me back at the farm and I walked inside, tail between my legs: the adventurous Skywalker couldn't even hack it 2 days at some hotsprings. When I got inside I was barraged by hugs, then sat down on the couch and forced a hot chocolate. I was so grateful to have a place to bunker down in until I felt better.

On Digger's last day we drove up through the high country north of Jefferson up over Georgia Pass (11,585ft on the Continental Divide) in his 'Lincoln Navigator' hire car - he had to change from his BMW 740 after the sunroof exploded!!!!. Test fired a few weapons......
Very pristine environment above the tree line. Not a good place to be in the middle of winter.....
Beautiful views and the Aspen trees just beginning to change colour as winter approaches....

... had a light, very late lunch, changed into bathers then went to the heated pool and spa in the main lodge. It was very quiet in the village, being a Monday. Later that night we ordered pizza, waited half hour for a couple of stoners to cook it, then took it back to the room to eat.
