    We thought it would be a nice full circle if we camped again in upstate New York toward the end of our trip, so we found Allegany State Park in the southern tier of the state. We weren't sure what to expect, and we didn't arrive until about 7:30, but we went to the Quaker Lake area and checked in to the Cain Hollow campground.     ... application and budget forecast was the state taxes and toll charges. Everything you google for prices, hotels etc, is usually subject to local or state taxes when you're here. So it adds between 10 & 18% to the budget, depending on the state and service you're buying.     ... leaving there, we drove to the Lake Effect Diner and had a late lunch, early dinner. This was a real 1942 diner that had a kitchen added on to it. Although the menu was not extensive, it was very hard to decide on what to get. The grilled mac and cheese was one of the items shown on the DDD episode.
