    ... And we had rain just like before in New York. We cooked up salmon, rib eye, corn and pasta with provisions picked up in Erie, PA, and then had big family hugs and a big cry from Amy (who would turn right around and drive back west if given the chance) as we talked about what a great trip it has been.     Finally in a hotel room, in Jamestown, NY. it cost more than I had planned but totally worth it after a very long drive today. I've driven from Mayville, Wisconsin, through the top of Illinois, across Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and arrived in New York State. So 6 states in one day and over 600 miles.
