... I had seen the rack of a make moose briefly as I passed. I stopped the car, turned around and returned to where three moose had been standing in the water. The mumma and bubba had disappeared, as had the male. Two large utility trucks came around the bend, one of which had stopped right behind the car. It was a hunter. He pointed out the male moose wandering along the river, but the female and baby were nowhere to be seen. Fortunately they were on private land, so hopefully ...

My first year it was more “haute cuisine” and not really to my taste but now it is still well prepared (pretty much everything is homemade), but it has come more down to earth and I have been finding it very enjoyable.
Of all the western resorts I’ve been to thus far, Steamboat still reigns supreme for me.

This was my 7th consecutive year coming to Steamboat to ski and then spend some time at Vista Verde Ranch. After spending a few days last season in the Aspen area which was nice too, that just strengthened my opinion that Steamboat is where I belong. Everything about Steamboat is very comfortable, unassuming and relaxed. While I’m sure lots of mountain towns can be described the same way, Steamboat just has a vibe that draws me in. So while I’m sure I’ll ...

... 10am to let me know what was going on with my bag but I hadn’t heard a word by noon. I wanted to get the number of the Hayden Airport or the Cowboy Carrier luggage delivery service. The hotel concierge offered to look into the luggage situation for me since we were not having any luck reaching a live person and she said it would take a while. I then went about my skiing business. I got a call from the concierge while riding the gondola back up top and she indicated ...
