... and enjoyed mountain views, forest paths, lovely wildflowers, and happy dogs. The girls were great again, roaming around with great abandon, but checking in from time to time, and returning every time we whistled. Hope we can get up high next week.

This might have been the best day ever for the girls. They each had a meaty bone for dinner.

... along a creek. The part near the road is safely fenced in, but there is a large area that is unfenced and yet safe. The girls had a great time romping through the trees, treeing a squirrel, splashing in the water, meeting other dogs and people, and coming when called. One of the things we forgot to take were the whistles, but they came every time we called them anyhow. We will definitely be back to this park.

Now for the good part:
WE DROVE THROUGH THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS!

It was one of the most humbling feelings being next to such massive formations. It really puts you in your tiny human space. I can't even imagine the amount of forces that created these mountains... im not sure what else to say really. I was speechless.

... how I would cope as it had been years since I had ridden with only a few lessons at the snow dome in between. I was pleasantly surprised as I got on ok even with the few areas that were a bit icy. I still need to master getting off the chair lift in a more controlled manner though; as they have not had their winter volume of snow the slope is very steep down. ...
