Hyderagood. Yesterday I did the City Tour. Visited Birla Temple built entirely of white marble and sitting atop a hill overlooking Hyderabad and its manmade Lumbini lake. HYDERABAD .......MUSLIM STRONGHOLD
After a 12 hour bus ride from Bangalore I arrived in Hyderabad. The majority of the population are Muslim and back in the 1940s they had wished to join Pakistan but in 1948 became a part of the newly independent India. I am staying at the Taj Mahal Hotel and this one is not as ritzy as the one in Mumbai but it will do just fine. Had another evening meal of a South Indian thali and a sweet lassi( not lassie) which cost me less than $2. USD.. Tomorrow I discover the city.

... was OK. I got to eat some Pizza Hut and just about all I could eat was around $5. That was OK with me since I got to use a normal toilet.
