We have a lovely 3 course meal of local cuisine and selected wines as accompaniments. Swish. We weren't overly impressed with it though. Then our tour escorts arrived to get us to the Concert house for our VIP evening. We left the Hotel Imperial and boarded our fiaker to take us to the ...

I was nervous to speak, and since I am the only German speaker on the trip, I was afraid I would embarrass myself in front of my friends and any Austrians in the immediate vicinity. However, I had a fortunate encounter that really got me going on the right path. When we were in Kosovo, we ended up taking a cab to one of our meetings and the cab driver was German, which I didn't realize until he started speaking. ... of the
city but only 15 min walk from Westbahnhof, our arrival station. It
is fairly cheap by Vienna standards but very pleasant and the wifi
works easily. We are used to having full kitchen facilities so not
being able to make yourself a cup of tea is a real loss.
