This morning we set off at 8.15 to catch the train to Vienna. I still had about $20 in Hungarian currency which we managed to spend on food for our journey. We had booked seats on the train which proved to be necessary as the carriages were crowded. It was a 3 hour trip and the …

We arrived at Wombats our hostel a bit early so we left our bags in storage and went exploring. To tell you the truth we did not really know what there was to do in Vienna, we just wanted to cross another country and city off our list of Europe. The guy at wombats was very helpful giving us a map and showing us the best places to see and the cheapest best places to ...

... we could find something to eat and drink. We stopped in briefly at another Christmas market and got lost in a massive courtyard but eventually found a cool little street with some likely restaurants and a bit of street art. The handy tripadvisor came through yet again and I found a little local restaurant with some very handy prices and we settled in next to some heaters for some much needed warmth and fooooood!
