This morning we set off at 8.15 to catch the train to Vienna. I still had about $20 in Hungarian currency which we managed to spend on food for our journey. We had booked seats on the train which proved to be necessary as the carriages were crowded. It was a 3 hour trip and the …

We decided to visit Naschmarkt today because it was another beautiful day, perfect for strolling through the HUGE public market, and we'd heard about yummy food possibilities, and that certainly appealed! Naschmarkt is 1.5 kilometers long, with double rows of stalls, and many little restaurants. It has been operating since 1793, when the main purpose of the market was selling milk in bottles made out of ash wood. Nowadays, there is food, clothing, ...

Together with the palace the magnificent gardens include the site of the world's first zoo that opened in 1752. Exhausted from our long day, we headed back to the Hotel for a couple of hours break before breaking out our fineries for dinner at Steirereck Restaurant in Stadtpark. The Michelin ...
