    ... waiting in line though I just had the worst stomach pains and was just feeling generally unwell so I had to opt out of the museum and go lie down at the hotel. The rest did me good and gave me a chance to catch up with the parentals although I still wasn't feeling amazing.     ... and caught each other up on 26+ years worth of our lives in something less than two hours. Then, back to the camper to hitch up and get back on the road. We left Shepherdsville around 11:15, and arrived in North Utica, Illinois, around 6:15, having survived another torrential downpour, this time accompanied by wind stong enough to make us stop on the shoulder of the road for a bit.     ... of birds of prey, as well as some condors, one of which swooped within metres
    of our heads. We managed to blag a lift
    back to Cabanaconde with a French woman and her son, who it turns out were
    heading to our hostel.

    What we didn’t realise was that all the trails out of
    Cabanaconde were blocked and this meant that everyone planning on an overnight
    trek that morning needed a place to stay.

    ... was a man!), really getting direction revisions, a missed turn. A stop at Gander Mtn to fulfill Devon's need for green. Got some campware coffee cups so as not to be reliant on hotel's iicky styrofoam cups that she can't believe are even still exist! Stopped at a Holiday Inn Xpress, no rooms, hotel clerk called to Anna, made rsvps for us, started to drizzle, rode a few highways, the Joilet Junction Bike Trail, and voila!, a Holiday Inn ...
