After we got back down we had a better walk around the museum, seeing replica moulds to scale of the statues face and foot, different versions of the torch over the years to fine tune it longevity and the story of its origins, ideas and construction. ... which is a lot like Rome. I'm not sure that all of them are actually homeless, or whether they make quite a good living just being out in the street with their "I am homeless and hungry" signs- maybe that is like their day job? The real homeless are not-so-seen, but sometimes they catch the bus or the subway and even if you can't see them, you can often smell them. I think America is definitely a country of haves and have-nots and although I know this is true for Australia ...

Biking in Central Park is restricted to the roads and it’s one way only; if you want to go down the foot paths you are supposed to hop off and walk your bike.
