... 9/22/14): After four long months (almost to the day), I got my passport back… with an Indian visa inside. This took dozens of emails (no exaggeration) to every relevant address I could find at CKGS. I gave up on phone calls once I realized the help center I called was in India, so they had no idea where my paperwork was. ... to drive around Manhattan for 2.5 hours, often doubling back on himself. After he had got lost trying to get us to our apartment, Bec and I decided that another 30 minutes of aimless driving around the West Village was in no ones best interest, so we got out and walked the last 2 blocks ourselves.
All up travel time today - almost 22 hrs with just a half hour sleep.
