... studying aviation, a bit funny and quiet, who put me at ease. over 9 hours of a flight, sleep was very difficult due to it technically be the afternoon, and due to it being, well, a plane, and stomach pains from the sushi, but I thought I'd at least get to sleep on my next flight.

Upon arrival of the flight, I had about 5 hours, again the predicament of not falling asleep but needing sleep and being bored and trying not to sleep. Somehow I managed a catnap ...

... Took taxi over the Brooklyn bridge to New Yorker Hotel, grand old Art Deco building. Nice room with view of Hudson River saw the sunset, Devine. Rang front desk and viola! tomorrow we move to a Central Park view room! Gotta ask! Had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant, ventured out for a coffee,back to unpack when found my suitcase combination lock open!!!! iPad and chargers gone! ... Bridge. Before that however we stop at a cafe called Panera, which sells lovely bread and cakes, for a salad lunch. Walking back over Brooklyn bridge gives great views of Manhattan and also of Midtown with the Empire State Building. The bridge is very busy with lots of people walking and cycling across the walkway which runs above the lanes of traffic.
