Reppin the dorm

6 weeks left here in benidorm before a flying visit back home to see everyone then im off to Thailand, Oz and Fiji for a few months travelling.

Currently loving the 'dorm, its probably the most random and bizzare place to rep and although its a bit quiet at the moment having amazing nights out with the rest of the fantastic team we have here, still time to come and see me!!!

Baking bread in El Potro!!!

We challenged our limits to cycle from Valencia to Alcoy in 1 day, about 130 km! We arrived late in the night after cycling the last 10 km over a busy national road in the dark (was not much fun), then cycled straight up in Alcoy for 2 km and walked the last km in wild nature with rocks, sand and even had to carry our bikes up ...

Southern Spain

So today is our last day and we are both ready to be done with it! We arrived not until noon in Alicante and we had reserved an excursion to see two towns near Alicante. One was Jalon and is famous for Muscatel wine and the other was Aleta famous for nothing except that the tour guide lives there. So this day turned out to be a double holiday in Spain and ...

Flipflop hike

Benidorm is called the Manhattan of the Costa Blanca, not cause its super cool, but because of its numerous high rises. We didn't spent much time here, we drove 20 min to the next town called Calpe. We did a cool hike, up a huge rock peninsula, and recommended by the guide book we brought with us. Being experienced hikers and being completely ignorant as to what we ...

Caminamos en Alicante

These pictures are from me trying to take a photo of myself writing with my ancient feather pen from the Alicante market and from walking around Alicante on a tour of the the two cathedrals, San Nicolas y Santa Barbara.
The pictures later are from our visit to two little pueblos just outside of Alicante; Guadalest and Altea. In the little town of Guadalest is a beautiful castle ...

... up." And now I don't even have to worry about hopes because it's a reality. What a nice feeling. I rarely feel content and satisfied and even more than that excited about things and a truly happy camper. I feel corny. Haha. But I'm glad I feel corny rather than homesick or actually sick or depressed. And I hope that I can hold onto this feeling and experience more great ones as the time comes to pass.
My only sadness is ...

Day 39- Who needs uni if you have a british nutter

... with: "What nationality are you?" I stared at him blankly and replied "British", I joked, "this is the BRITISH consulate". He then wisely replied "no, no. Many people don´t realise this but Britain actually consists of England, Scottland, and Wales". At this point someone else sitting behind, him who we had previously spoke to, started to silently cry laughing. I replied "yeh, I know but....." He then interupted me and said "no, your not hearing me, the Island ...

Day 38 - Dancing like motherbitches!

So, day 2 in Alacant. Had to start off by finding the British consulate so Alex can get a new passport. After a pretty standard day we bought some cheap Sangria and food which we cooked in the courtyard of the hostel. Thats right 7 euros a night and it has an f-in courtyard. We cooked food, drank and ate with a few of the German dudes whilst the rest of the guys where lost in the city. After ...

Day 36 - Tony Robbinson

First of all I can´t believe we actually survived the night. Whats more is that the lizards and cockroaches running around didnt go near me. Thats a good start.

Never see famous people in England , yet you cycle 1500 miles to a supermarket in the middle of Spain you find Tony Robbinson. Amazing. Then we ate big food ...

Rumination No. 6 - Ow! I Have Carpal Tunnel!

... players because it works. I blame the game, FIFA, and the fans for tolerating such community theater. At this point, figure skating is more of a sport. And, ultimately, I feel ripped off. 60€ for what was, in essence, a B-grade kung-fu movie where you can see the punches are fake and the soundtrack doesn´t match the action?! I´ll take the ****** King Kong remake, thank you, because at least Christopher Columbus doesn´t pretend that it is anything more than escapist theater.
