It is 6:30am as we descend towards the runway at Kingsford Smith Airport, I can see the roads are wet. It has been raining. Never fear, think I. It is dry season now and records show it should only rain 2.7 days during the month of September.

We are through customs and immigration rapidly and join the long queue for a taxi. As we drive into the city, the rain gets worse. ...

... the right time to re-calculate the rest of my 2014. Future travel plans will never be far away.

I'm sure as soon as my first day of returning home has come and gone I will find myself missing the other half and the other side of the world more than I thought, plus planning even more trips to as many other foreign lands I can think of. After all, the travel bug... it's addictive.

Until then, best make the most of being Down Under.
