They say bad luck strikes in threes – well today was the third. As we tried to take out our main sail we couldn't budge it – it is totally jammed in the in-mast furler. Not good news at all.

... Mondrago in the morning and have had the perfect sailing conditions (at least for us) with moderate wind and nice sea. Kivu was flying considering we only had 6 knots of wind and we were doing 4 miles an hour! We left Nice at about 7.30pm last night and arrived at Palma Mallorca at about 2pm this afternoon. First impressions? Dump No 3. Not quite so many high rises, but still pretty dumpy. Lots of boats and ships, so it's obvously popular with some people. We're here until tomorrow afternoon and it's steaming hot so hopefully the ship will be empty with most of the passengers "getting on down" and "getting funky with it" in town.
