... moment I had an inkling of what it might be like to work for the Yukon Geological Survey - maybe I missed my true calling in life? Anyway we had a great time, and finished up the day with a great Wienerschnitzel meal at a local restaurant. Tonight we have to pack up for our train trip to Venice tomorrow. We're sorry to be leaving this area. There is so much great hiking here - maybe we'll be back some ...

We had a great day in the mountains today and made it up to well over 10,000 feet (10,750 to be exact). We accomplished this feat by taking 3 separate gondolas and also hiking over 500 metres of elevation gain. I was nervous, excited, but still dizzy like I have been for the last few days. I was wondering how it would feel on the ride. Bryan wanted to do two passes or climbs before Stelvio, which though daunting was also an extra challenge :) The two early climbs were not too bad and the weather was perfect! Thanks God. We started the ...

... ready, es geht los !

The first steps in the water were surprising as we could't feel anything, nothing cold in fact. It slowly manifest itself as we started sinking into the river. We quickly arrived near the first drop. Stefan, as professional as pedagogue, belaid us one by one. Everything went smooth.

We went down the river for two hours and a half. Our last abseiling was the most technical and impressive one ...
